The Little House

Etxeberria takes its name from the Basque Country in Spain and France meaning ‘the little house’. We worked alongside renowned chef Javier Carmona to capture the spirit of a quaint, homely space situated among the hills of the rural village where the food finds its origins.

With an identity centred around the theme of intersecting ideas, we applied the brand across a weekly-changing menu, social media imagery, and a modern one-page website. A bespoke brand pattern reminiscent of the countryside hills was created by layering rolled ink on watercolour paper, which was then digitised and applied across the full range of collateral.

With the restaurant occupying a pop-up space in Auckland’s suburb of Avondale, the pattern is further applied across drapery masking the immovable aspects of the venue.
