When the development of the City Rail Loop necessitated the church’s relocation to a new purpose-built campus in Mt Eden, the opportunity arose to create a contemporary facility with room for continued growth. Along with the sprawling layout of the foyers and cafe stations creating areas for people to connect, a dedicated children’s area, and an 1,800 seat auditorium, there also came the challenge of helping visitors navigate their way through the space.
We developed wayfinding signage which was applied throughout the building, overseeing the design, production, and installation of American Oak light boxes, custom restroom icons, interchangeable room labels, and navigational signs featuring raised acrylic lettering with layered ply detailing. The outcome was a modern and accessible wayfinding system, which blends seamlessly with the rest of the interior fitout.
